Guided tour and artist talk: Charlott Markus & Nina Folkersma

Date: 18/11/2017

Time: 16.30 - 18.00

Location: Castrum Peregrini

This afternoon, artist Charlott Markus and curator Nina Folkersma share their thoughts in a personal talk about Some Things Hidden, an exhibition and performance programme revolving around the idea of ‘hiding’.

The first part of this exhibition takes places in Castrum Peregrini, a former WWII hiding place on the Herengracht 401, and leads up to an extended version in Framer Framed that will open on 18 January 2018.

How do artists and thinkers visualize hiding today? What are the possibilities of hiding today in our current digitalized society? What about our right to opaqueness versus others’ needs for transparency? What is hiding for me and what is it for you? Before and after the talk it is possible to visit the authentic WWII apartment of the artist Gisèle and her hiders in a special guided tour.
