Just after we opened Gisèles exhibition, Jeanine Govaers, Simon Bosch and Youssef Bchiri travel to Vienna, representing Castrum Peregrini at the Ballad Portal meeting at Volkshochschule Hietzing, 16/17 October 2009.

The project “Ballad Portal” intends to take up cultural impulses coming from narratives in verse. Ballads tell stories about people who are foreigners in their own home countries, distanced from their environments or on the run – even if their fleeing ends up in the escape to their own inner self or in defeat.
